Marler signs new deal with Harlequins
Harlequins and England prop Joe Marler has agreed a new contact with the club.
The 25-year-old, who captained Quins last season, has made 131 appearances since breaking into the first team in 2009.
The Eastbourne-born loosehead has scored six tries, including in the 2012 Premiership semi-final against Northampton Saints.
Marler has also played 37 times for England, most recently during last year’s World Cup, and is also in the squad for the upcoming Six Nations Championship.
Quins director of rugby Conor O’Shea said: “Joe already has a wealth of experience and when he develops into the player he can be, I have no doubt he will become one of the great loosehead props in world rugby.
“This is a massive re-signing for us and I’m sure everyone associated with Harlequins will be delighted.”
