Hooker Ward signs for Harlequins

Harlequins have signed hooker Dave Ward from Cornish Pirates under the injury dispensation arrangement.

The 26-year-old made over 100 apperances for the Pirates and has also had spells with Sale, Northampton and Bath.

“With the recent retirement of Matt Cairns and the long-term injury to Chris Brooker, we needed a talented player to complement our existing front row,” said Quins director of rugby Conor O’Shea.

“Dave fits the profile of the type of player we want at this club and his style of play fits ours. He has the drive and ambition to play at the very highest level.”
