Harlequins star recalled by England

Ugo Monye has been recalled to the England squad for the autumn internationals.

The Harlequins star, 29, won the last of his 13 international caps against Scotland in March 2010 but was part of last summer’s tour to South Africa.

Hamstring problems subsequently ruled him out of the first two Tests before he was knocked unconscious during a match against the South African Barbarians.

Monye, a British and Irish Lion in 2009, was then left out of the elite player squad but has made a good start to the season, scoring four tries for his club.

His Quins team-mates Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown, Danny Care and Jordan Turner-Hall have also been included in the squad by England boss Stuart Lancaster.

The four Tests begin against Fiji on 10 November.
