World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio has praised the leadership qualities showed by England and Harlequins flanker Chris Robshaw.
Dallaglio, who skippered the Red Rose during a hugely successful career at the top of international rugby, says he is full of admiration for the way Robshaw has led England during the Six Nations so far.
Robshaw was the man of the match as Stuart Lancaster’s men won in Dublin for the first time since 2003 in a Six Nations match.
And the former number eight felt it was fully deserved, with Quins star Robshaw top of the statistics as England won 12-6 – leaving them with the only unbeaten record so far in the competition ahead of welcoming twice-beaten France to Twickenham on Saturday.
Dallaglio said: “Chris Robshaw, when we talk about an England captain leading from the front, well he was the top tackler, the man of the match – an outstanding performance. It was a performance to be proud of – amazing
“England are on a journey. They beat New Zealand at Twickenham, they have beaten Scotland and now gone and taken that game away from home and beaten Ireland.
“Every game is a different challenge for these players and I am sure they are learning really quickly.”
