Karl Dickson has signed a two-year extension to his Harlequins contract.
The scrum-half’s new deal will keep him with the current Premiership champions until at least the end of the 2014-15 season.
Dickson, 30, said: “I believe that there are even more exciting and successful times ahead for the club and I want to be part of them, which is why I’m delighted to have signed this extension to my contract.”
Quins director of rugby Conor O’Shea added: “I know I speak for all the coaches at the club when I say that Karl is one of the best and most competitive people they have ever come across.
“His influence on the squad is enormous and the competition between himself and Danny Care is great for both of them. We are delighted with this signing.”
