Zamora will deliver for QPR, says Hughes

Mark Hughes says he has no doubt Bobby Zamora will make a major impact during the all important run-in to the season.

QPR have lost all three of their matches since bringing in the striker, who endured frustrating afternoon against his former club Fulham on Saturday.

Hughes has backed Zamora to shine.

That 1-0 defeat increased Rangers’ relegation worries but manager Hughes remains defiant.

He believes Zamora, who also played under him at Fulham, will make a big difference as his team battle against the drop.

Hughes said: “It’s a new club and a new challenge for Bobby and he wants to do well. He’ll come through because he’s a quality player.

“At the moment it’s difficult for him. But he’s working hard and doing the correct things and when you do that more often than not you become successful.”
