Zamora still not close to Rangers return
Bobby Zamora is still some distance away from a return to action, according to QPR boss Harry Redknapp.
It was recently suggested that the Rangers striker could recover from a hip problem sooner than expected.
But he has yet to return to training and Redknapp is unsure when Zamora will be available.
“He’s still a way away. I’m not sure how long it’ll be,” said Redknapp.
“He’s just started jogging. That’s all he’s doing – a little bit of slow jogging.”
Redknapp believes Zamora could make a major contribution in the club’s fight against relegation later in the season.
He said: “The club have been unlucky with Zamora and Andrew Johnson getting injured.
“They always caused problems when they played together at Fulham and to bring them in and suddenly lose them is a blow.
“We’re short up front and getting Zamora fit could make all the difference because he’s a good player.”
