Bobby Zamora has agreed in principle to join QPR from Fulham and is set to undergo a medical at Loftus Road.
The England international, 31, played under Rangers’ former Whites boss Mark Hughes at Craven Cottage.
But QPR have long been planning a pre-deadline move for Zamora, whose current contract expires in 2014.
Initial enquiries were made about him while Neil Warnock was still R’s manager and the club have been monitoring his situation for some time.
