Ukrainian youngster joins QPR on trial
A teenager who fled Ukraine could be set to join QPR.
Marko Podolyak, an 18-year-old midfielder, left the war-torn country earlier this year.
He was on the books of Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev prior to the Russian invasion.
He left the day before his 18th birthday to join relatives in Berkshire – after martial law was imposed in February, males aged 18 and above were not allowed to leave Ukraine.
Podolyak has since spent time with non-League Bracknell Town and has now joined QPR on trial, training with the Under-23 squad, ahead of a possible move.
