Young duo in QPR squad for Hull trip
Ilias Chair and Bright Osayi-Samuel have been included in the squad for QPR’s trip to Hull and are expected to feature in Saturday’s game.
Manager Ian Holloway said last weekend he was minded to select both youngsters along with defender Alex Baptiste, who has been included in the squad as well.
Holloway said: “I might consider putting the three in who haven’t been used; Ilias Chair, Baptiste and Bright Samuel, because they’ve been flying in training.
“What a great choice for me. Hopefully I can do that and keep things moving.
“I’ve got youngsters I’m enthused about and some aren’t even in the team. Ilias Chair hasn’t put a foot wrong, but we haven’t won when he’s played.
“I’ve got to make sure I get the timing right and they’re coming through and not costing us games but helping us win games.”
Belgian midfielder Chair, 20, has made two Championship appearances this season, the most recent of which came in Rangers’ 3-1 defeat at Leeds in December.
Osayi-Samuel, 21, has started just three games since being signed from Blackpool last summer.
