Wigan have the strongest squad – Harry
QPR boss Harry Redknapp has suggested that potential play-off opponents Wigan have the strongest squad in the Championship.
Rangers look likely to face Uwe Rosler’s side or Reading over two legs, with all three clubs looking to get back into the Premier League after being relegated last season.
And Redknapp has played down suggestions that his team have the edge in terms of quality and experience.
“I don’t know about that. It’s going to be tight – we finished below Wigan last year and Reading,” he said.
“We had a big changearound and Wigan are a team that went to Man City and won and drew after 90 minutes with Arsenal the other week.
“Whoever you play is going to be very hard. They will be hard games. We’ve got experience but so have they.
“Wigan have still got the nucleus of the team that won the FA Cup last year. They’ve got a fantastic squad I think.
“I think they’ve possibly got the strongest squad in the league. That would be my opinion.”
