Hasselbaink bemoans late QPR lapse
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admitted QPR paid the price for a late lapse in concentration in their 1-1 draw against Blackburn.
Leroy Fer’s goal put Rangers ahead but Hope Akpan’s 85th-minute equaliser at Ewood Park means they are still without a win after eight matches under Hasselbaink.
“You always have to defend properly and keep your focus,” the Dutchman said.
“At that moment the ball bounced a little bit too much for my liking and we forgot our focus a little bit.”
However, Hasselbaink insisted there were “lots of positives” to take from the game despite Rangers slumping to 17th in the Championship table.
“I’m very happy with the team performance, the commitment and organisation,” he added.
“We looked compact and solid. If we keep performing like this then the win will come.”

QPR sacked the inexperienced Cris Ramsey because we were a few places below the top 6, Now were a few places above the relegation places with Jimmy. Three managers have been at the club since the start of the season and still we are barely into the second half and are looking over our shoulders. QPR are in trouble, they have clueless staff and a clueless owner. QPR were a club of great history, a club known for untiring young talent, look at QPR now, a shambles and an embarrassment to the fans. Have you heard that the new book is called “How to knock the stuffing out of a great club” by Tony Fernandez and Les Ferdinand.

If QPR continue as they are at present Jimmy then they will be in League 1 next year. I’m not sure QPR have improved in any department since Jimmy’s arrival and to be fair the results show that.
