We can still stay up, says QPR man
Ryan Nelsen insisted QPR can still stay up despite setting a new Premier League record in their 2-2 draw at Wigan.
The result meant Rangers have failed to win any of their first 16 games this season – surpassing the record set by Swindon in the 1993/94 campaign.
Nelsen scored his first goal for the club before Djibril Cisse put them 2-1 up, but they were unable to hang on.
“It’s astonishing to tell you the truth,” said Nelsen.
“There’s not been that many games where we have been out of it. But that’s the fine line of the Premier League. There’s no excuses.
“We’re confident we can get out of it. We feel if we can get one win then we will get two and we’ll get going.”
