Warnock explains Sandro inclusion
Neil Warnock revealed he made a late decision to include Sandro in his starting line-up for QPR’s game against Preston.
Warnock, placed in interim charge following this week’s sacking of Chris Ramsey, decided to make a number of changes but initially planned to name Sandro among the Rangers substitutes.
“I wasn’t going to play him yesterday,” Warnock explained after the 0-0 draw at Loftus Road.
“Then I decided to play him and the medics said they thought he’d only be able to last an hour. I thought he did alright in that hour.”
Sandro, who has complained of various injuries since joining QPR from Tottenham last year, went off shortly after a hefty challenge.
Warnock joked: “I think he got a bit of a knock. It looked like he’d broke his leg in three places.”
