Mark Warburton expects a busy transfer window for QPR.
The Rangers manager is keen to add to his squad, with a centre-back and midfielder his top priorities.
“We’re looking at one or two to come in,” he confirmed.
“We’ve got to be shrewd in that market, as every club has to. Every club is facing the same financial pressure.
“Hopefully we can do our business. We’d like to freshen it up in one or two key areas.
“It’ll be a busy few weeks ahead, that’s for sure.”
Meanwhile, Warburton has caused for the season to be paused because of the rise in Covid-19 infections.
He said: “We’re trying to fit an ordinary season into an extraordinary year.
“You’re seeing games called off at the very highest level at short notice now.
“I fear, looking at the numbers - 55,000 new infections and nigh-on a thousand deaths now in a 24-hour period - we are facing the crunch time.
“Do we have a circuit breaker? My belief is yes. That’s just my opinion.
“Would it have ramifications for the football programme? Absolutely. We’d have to adapt.
“But above all else the health and welfare of everyone has to be of paramount importance.”
