Warburton hails QPR youngsters after stunning win
Mark Warburton called for QPR’s young players to believe in themselves after his reign as manager got off to a dream start.
Rangers won 2-1 at Stoke, where Jordan Hugill scored on his debut and Ebere Eze added a brilliant second goal for the visitors.
Youngsters Eze, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ryan Manning were outstanding and Warburton believes the opening-day win should remind them what they are capable of.
“We have got some good young players who just need some belief about how good they can be – and that will come with confidence,” Warburton said.
Eze’s sublime goal was the highlight of a great day for the R’s, who have been widely tipped to struggle this season but produced a performance of real quality in Warburton’s first match at the helm.
“He’s got plenty of talent and we saw it in that goal,” said Warburton.
“It’s really pleasing to get the win. This is a tough place to come and Stoke have a squad full of Premier League players. It’s an outstanding start for us.”

I agree, we DO HAVE some good players and dont forget, we could quite easily have scored several more. I thought the goal conceded was a bit of a giveaway though. Still, well done the squad, keep it up and get into the playoffs – that will really annoy the opposition fans.
