Archer set to return to QPR squad
Goalkeeper Jordan Archer is expected to be back on the QPR’s substitutes’ bench for this evening’s game at home to Birmingham City.
Youngster Joe Walsh has been on the bench for the past three matches because Archer was recently involved in an accidental collision in training.
Manager Mark Warburton explained: “We had a concussion situation with Jordan and we had to go through the protocols.
“He got a smack in training, which is always a risk that we run. But Joe’s more than capable of stepping up.
“Jordan took a nasty whack, we followed the protocols and we’ve gone through that process now.”
Rangers will again be without Sam McCallum against Birmingham – the on-loan wing-back will not return from a hamstring injury before the international break.
