QPR boss Mark Warburton says he is concerned about the potential for some of his players to pick up injuries because of the packed fixture schedule.
The likes of Lyndon Dykes, Ilias Chair and Seny Dieng have recently been on international duty.
Dykes in particular has had a gruelling few months, having featured for Scotland at the European Championship.
Warburton said: “They’re going away and representing their country - World Cup qualifiers, games of real significance - and of course it gives them a boost and raises their profile.
“But the simple physical fact is that they’re getting no break whatsoever.
“That’s my biggest concern - that they’ll literally break at some stage, injury-wise. They need to have a recharge opportunity.
“Look at Lyndon. The summer was very, very challenging for him. So we’ve got to make sure we look after these players.
“We have to make sure we take care of these players whenever we possibly can.”
Warburton says Chair is fit and available for QPR’s game at Reading on Saturday.
Chair was part of a Morocco squad that had to be escorted out of Guinea after a military coup in the West African country.
The Moroccan delegation had been trapped in their hotel, where gunfire could be heard.
After returning to London, Chair trained on Friday and is set to be included in the Rangers squad for this weekend’s match.
Warburton said: “He’s mentally very strong. He’s a young guy that loves playing football.
“He got back safely and trained very well yesterday, so he’ll be fine and available for selection.”
Andre Gray is in contention for a debut following his loan move from Watford.
The R’s are still without Lee Wallace, who is recovering from hamstring injury.
