Unsettled Cisse’s move from QPR confirmed
QPR have confirmed the departure of Djibril Cisse.
The 31-year-old striker has joined Qatari club Al Gharafa on loan until the end of the season.
West London Sport reported in October that the unsettled Cisse could leave Loftus Road when he transfer window opened.
Cisse, signed from Lazio a year ago, scored crucial goals to keep Rangers in the Premier League last season.
But he became unhappy at the club and told Mark Hughes he would like to move on prior to the Welshman’s sacking.
Hughes’ successor Harry Redknapp was irritated by Cisse’s lack of commitment and quickly made it clear he would listen to offers for him.
Lille and Cisse’s former club Panathanikos were among the clubs to show an interest, but the player opted for a move to the Middle East.
