Recent signing Tyler Blackwood scored five goals and Ben Pattie grabbed four in a 15-0 win for QPR’s Under-21s in Italy.
The Rangers youngsters demolished Verbania Calcio in a one-sided pre-season friendly, with Frankie Sutherland and Olamide Shodipo both scoring twice and Osman Kakay and Aaron Mitchell also finding the net.
Another summer signing, Axel Prohouly, featured in the game and there was also an outing for Michael Petrasso following the winger’s recovery from an ankle injury.
Blackwood, signed on one-year deal having been on trial towards the end of last season, scored his goals in the first half, completing a hat-trick in just 23 minutes.
