Fulham’s Taylor-Crossdale having trial with QPR

Martell Taylor-Crossdale has joined QPR on trial ahead of a possible move from Fulham.

The 21-year-old striker joined Fulham from Chelsea on a two-year deal in the summer of 2019 after his Blues contract ended.

He was highly regarded at Chelsea and attracted interest from German club Hoffenheim before eventually moving to Craven Cottage.

Taylor-Crossdale was a member of the England Under-18 team which won the Toulon Tournament in 2017 and has also represented his country at other age levels.

But he has yet to make a league appearance, having not played for Chelsea or Fulham – or during a loan spell with Colchester United last year.

He played for QPR’s development side in a match at Ipswich on Tuesday afternoon – and scored the visitors’ goal in a 1-1 draw.

Jordy de Wijs and George Thomas also featured for Rangers following their recent injuries.

It was defender De Wijs’ first match action since being signed on loan from Hull City.
