Sylla scores but QPR are beaten

Idrissa Sylla scored his first QPR goal but could not save them from another defeat.
Goals from Kasey Palmer and Elias Kachunga put Huddersfield in control before recent signing Sylla headed in Tjaronn Chery’s cross shortly after coming on as a substitute.
Rangers went behind on 14 minutes after being caught dozing after Tommy Smith’s right-wing cross drifted towards the opposite flank.
Rajiv van La Parra retrieved the ball and sent it back into the box, where an unmarked Palmer, on loan from Chelsea, was able to head in from six yards.
Another cross from Smith led to Huddersfield scoring again on 62 minutes courtesy of Kachunga’s looping header at the far post.
Rangers, hammered 6-0 by Newcastle in midweek, offered very little as the home side dominated with ease before Sylla’s 76th-minute goal.
Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink made a double substitution at half-time, hauling off Conor Washington and Karl Henry and sending on Sebastian Polter along with Ariel Borysiuk.
His team showed some improvement but remained second best – and were fortunate not to have a penalty awarded against them for a handball by Jordan Cousins before the Terriers eventually doubled their lead.
Hasselbaink’s next change paid off, but his team were unable to find an equaliser.

My expectation, which has been buoyed by the clubs continual claims for great things is obviously overinflated. A majority of our squad are League 1 players so to finish 15th to 20th position will be quite an achievement.
The disappointing thing for me is a lack of attractive football and a real leader. Its going to be a long season with little to shout about.

The first few games we got some penalties to help us. WIthout those penalties many of those games may have gone differently. I am very worried for this season.

What a shambles this group is becoming under JFK. taking time to gel is one thing but surely some sign of incremental improvement. Relegation battle you ask??
