Swindon sign Furlong from QPR on season-long loan
Swindon Town have signed Darnell Furlong from QPR on a season-long loan.
The right-back played against the Robins in Wednesday’s EFL Cup first-round tie at Loftus Road, where Rangers won on penalties.
That was Furlong’s fifth senior appearance for QPR, who are keen for him to pick up more first-team experience.
He played 21 times for Northampton Town during a loan spell last season and was previously on loan at Cambridge United.
Now Furlong, 20, gets a chance to play in League One at Swindon, where R’s midfielder Michael Doughty is also currently on loan.
