Nottingham Forest 0 QPR 0
QPR, who have never won at the City Ground, picked up a point in an uninspiring game.
Rangers have won only one of their 10 league matches since Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink took over as manager – and this was their seventh draw under the Dutchman.
Most of the notable action came during a first half in which Forest hit the woodwork twice.
Ben Osbourne fired against the post and the visitors rode their luck again when Robert Tesche’s thumping effort from 30 yards out struck the bar.
And in the final seconds of the half, Rangers themselves went close to going ahead when Alejandro Faurlin’s free-kick was tipped on to the bar by Dorus de Vries.
Forest keeper De Vries also produced good saves to deny Matt Phillips and the lively Junior Hoilett.
Rangers keeper Alex Smithies was in fine form as well, saving a header from former QPR loanee Michael Mancienne, who had been left unmarked.
The second half was thoroughly forgettable, although Smithies again did well when called into action, keeping out efforts from Chris O’Grady and Oliver Burke.
