Sherwood out of the running for QPR job
Tim Sherwood is out of the running to take over as QPR manager.
The former Tottenham boss was lined up to replace Harry Redknapp, who left Loftus Road last week.
But Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes had doubts about installing him and has been urged by many fans on Twitter to appoint Paul Clement.
Clement, the 42-year-old son of late QPR legend Dave Clement, is currently assistant to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti and previously worked under the Italian at Chelsea and Paris St-Germain.
Rangers expected to bring Sherwood in following Redknapp’s exit, with Les Ferdinand becoming director of football and Chris Ramsey earmarked for the role of first-team coach. Both men worked with Sherwood at Spurs.
Think I have got my dream manager. Not what anyone thinks. Take a while. Still a bit to go but I'm very happy. Press all wrong.

Ramsey, who was given an overseeing role following former R’s and England striker Ferdinand’s return to the club in October, is in caretaker charge of the team for tonight’s game at Sunderland.
Rangers initially expected to confirm Sherwood as manager later this week but he is no longer being considered.
Fernandes tweeted on Tuesday that he was close to appointing his “dream manager”, after which bookmakers slashed odds on former Swansea boss Michael Laudrup taking over.

Nigel Adkins was my first thought but I like the idea of Laudrup. Clement would be my first choice – 20 years coaching experience and 43!

Bet it’s Nigel Adkins.
