Sheffield Wednesday have made an approach for Massimo Luongo.
QPR are looking to sell the Australian midfielder, who has a year remaining on his contract.
Luongo, 26, has not been involved in Rangers’ pre-season campaign and there has been every expectation that he will leave Loftus Road this month.
After rumblings of interest among a number of clubs in the Championship and abroad, Wednesday have indicated that they want to do a deal ahead of Thursday’s deadline.
Luongo has made 145 league appearances for QPR since being signed from Swindon Town four years ago.

Good luck Mass. Whatever Sheffield pay, they will have a bargain. Cant believe we are letting him go. We MUST have obtained one hell of a replacement.
Its a a shame to see him go, but good luck to him, he has been a loyal servant to the club. Let's hope dopey Les & Co get a good price for him unlike everyone else we have let go. Actually Les, why don't you take a walk over to Brentford, they may be able to teach you a thing transfer negotiations !. Anyway good luck Mass
