Midfielder Jacob Mellis, recently sacked by Chelsea, has been handed a trial by QPR.
Mellis, who spent last week with Championship side Burnley, was dismissed by the Blues after admitting setting off a smoke grenade in a prank at the club’s Cobham training ground last month.
The 21-year-old played for Rangers’ reserves in a game against West Ham on Tuesday and scored their goal in a 2-1 defeat.
Strikers Heidar Helguson and DJ Campbell also featured in the match as part of their respective comebacks from injury.
