QPR’s woes continued as they lost to a Rotherham side that had only won once this season. Here’s how we rated Rangers’ players in their 1-0 defeat.
Yet again kept Rangers in the game with some fine saves. Produced a great stop to deny Lee Frecklington early on and was solid throughout.
A poor display from the captain. He was sloppy defensively and QPR’s attacking intent meant he spent much of the game almost as a half-baked wing-back that offered little of note.
A decent enough performance. Competed well and looked to get attacks going when he came out with the ball.
Was caused problems but was dominant in the air in both boxes and was unlucky not to score with a first-half header which was cleared off the line.
Excellent in the first half, when he effectively operated as a winger and was direct and aggressive. He was much less influential in the second half though and missed a good chance to equalise when he blasted over.
An absolute gift to Rotherham’s midfield, not least when his failure to track a runner resulted in Izzy Brown’s goal. Totally off the space and the home side were able to play around him with ease.
Competed well in the first half but never really imposed himself on the game.
Impressive for Rangers this season but unable to make an impact this time, especially in the second half when the game passed him by for large spells.
Starting a match for the first time since September, the French winger showed plenty of promise. He was bright, hardworking and always looked to create. On a less positive note, the end product wasn’t there and his positioning was consistently poor, meaning the combination with Bidwell on the left didn’t work effectively.
A threat from set-pieces and around the penalty area when he was always willing to shoot. Rangers needed more from him though. Drifted in and out of the game.
Denied by a fine save early on and didn’t get a better chance. Worked hard but had little joy as the lone striker or after Sebastian Polter was brought on to play alongside him.
Gave Rangers an added presence up front but it counted for nothing as they had run out of ideas.
Did quite well after coming on. Was neat and tidy on the ball and cleared off the line to prevent a second Rotherham goal.
