Remy rejects move after Newcastle table bid
Loic Remy has rejected a move to Newcastle after the Magpies submitted an offer for the QPR striker.
Remy has consistently made it clear he is not interested in a permanent move to St James’ Park, where he spent last season on loan.
He is keen to stay in London and join Arsenal or Chelsea, but with neither club showing a firm interest, and with the Frenchman’s proposed move to Liverpool recently collapsing, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew was tipped to make one more attempt to sign him.
An offer was duly made, but on Friday Remy reiterated that he is only looking to leave Loftus Road for a club in the Champions League.
West Ham previously made an enquiry about Remy, who joined Rangers from Marseille for £8m in January last year on the understanding he would be allowed to join a top-four side for the same fee.
Other clubs would have to pay considerably more and Newcastle were willing to do so in order to sign him.

Remy don’t want to play for
Newcastle as long as the odious Pardew is boss there. Otherwise he’d be gone.

Not sure that I would be ‘delighted’ if I was an Rs fan.
Your most expensive player (wage wise) clearly does not want to play for you. He does not wish to stretch himself too much so is happy to stay with one of the clubs rated most likely to be relegated this season. He is not really bothered about furthering his international career hence would not drop his wage demands to join Arsenal.
Oh and he has stopped scoring – I predict time out on the physio’s table
in the not too distant future – unless of course Arsenal buy him for £8m over the weekend.
To my mind Newcastle have had a lucky escape.
