Kevin Doyle has returned to Wolves after being told his knee injury will keep him out for at least six weeks.
The striker, who joined QPR on loan from the League One club in January, limped off during Rangers’ recent win at Birmingham and suffered a setback after returning to training last week.
“Kevin’s injury is long-term and he’s gone back to Wolves,” said QPR manager Harry Redknapp.
“He’s tweaked his knee ligament and he’s certainly going to be out for at least six weeks. It’s a long job, unfortunately.”
Doyle, 30, has made six appearances for the R’s, scoring two goals.
