Redknapp: Quality signings are on the way
Harry Redknapp has pledged to add high-quality players to his squad in the next fortnight.
The QPR boss last week missed out on the signing of Gary Hooper from Celtic when Norwich matched his bid for the striker.
But Redknapp intends to sign at least two other forwards, with Burnley’s Charlie Austin and Stoke’s former R’s favourite Peter Crouch among his targets.
He is also looking to bring back winger Andros Townsend, who impressed while on loan from Tottenham last season.
Redknapp said: “I thought I had Gary Hooper coming in but it didn’t happen in the end.
“But I’ve got other strikers in mind that I’m looking at and if I get them they’ll be good.
“There will be some good players coming in here in the next couple of weeks, for sure.”

James you are one hundred percent right, as I keep saying too much talk about who were interested in buying, whilst other clubs but them get on with buying them.

Hey Harry, why not name every target you’re interested in, then watch as other clubs beat us to signing them!

Charlie would be fantastic signing as long as issue of failed medical at hull is am overreaction on hulls part. Also, talk of quality players coming in over the next two weeks, I would have preferred if that was asap as losing ground because we have not done our business on time could prove costly come May next if we do not hit the ground running. I surprise myself on how quickly I have got over relegation as I am really excited about this season and pray it’s not another false dawn. Get em in quick Arry!!!
