Redknapp: QPR won’t be busy in January
Harry Redknapp claims he does not expect QPR to be busy in the transfer market in January.
The Rangers boss is hopeful goalkeeper Julio Cesar will finally secure a move in the new year but does not expect the likes of Joey Barton to attract offers.
And he insists he sees no urgent need to sign a striker, with Andrew Johnson managing an ongoing knee issue and Bobby Zamora seemingly on the way back from a long-term injury.
Redknapp said: “There’s no-one here – probably only the goalkeeper Cesar – that is looking to move.
“We want to keep Joey. He’s important for us and has been a driving force behind the team.
“We haven’t got a big squad, we’ve got a good squad – one that’s got good quality.
“I’m not desperate to add anyone in January. If someone special came up and the club wanted to do something then we could, but otherwise I’m happy with the squad.
“AJ’s fit again, Bobby’s on the way back and Charlie Austin has been in great form, so we’re okay.”
