QPR manager Harry Redknapp says he has not made an approach to sign West Ham striker Carlton Cole.
Redknapp wanted the former Chelsea man, 30, in the summer before Cole signed a short-term deal at Upton Park.
And he plans another attempt to sign him if Hammers boss Sam Allardyce decides not to renew that contract.
But Redknapp said: “I’ve had no conversations with Carlton Cole’s agent, with Sam or anyone at West Ham.
“I was asked if I liked Carlton Cole and I said ‘Yes, he’s a good player’ and that’s as far as it’s gone. As far as I’m concerned he’s a West Ham player.”
