QPR striker Troy Hewitt is having a trial with League One side Bury.
The 22-year-old has been unable to make an impact at Loftus Road since arriving from non-League Harrow Borough in February last year.
He was a target for a host of second and third-tier clubs before the then Rangers boss Neil Warnock arranged a deal to sign him.
Hewitt has made only one first-team appearance for the R’s and played seven times for Dagenham & Redbridge during a loan spell last season.
Bury are also giving a trial to former QPR defender Gary Borrowdale.
