QPR completed their pre-season trip to Austria with a 2-1 loss against Italian side Udinese.
Both Udinese goals were scored during a second half in which Rangers played without a recognised striker after Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson were withdrawn at the interval.
But they pulled a goal back when youngster Frankie Sutherland finished nicely shortly after coming on as a substitute.
Rangers opted against giving a debut to recent signing Richard Dunne, who began pre-season training slightly later than his new team-mates.
The defender could feature against Southend next week.
