Rangers eye Cardiff man as possible signing

QPR have expressed an interest in Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch.

The 22-year-old played alongside Rangers’ recent signing Steven Caulker at Cardiff as they were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Mutch joined the Welsh club from Birmingham City in 2012, having previously had loan spells at Hereford, Doncaster and Watford.

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is keen to sign an least one midfielder this summer and is assessing possible back-up options should he miss out on Leroy Fer.

Norwich turned down an offer from QPR for Dutchman Fer, who is also wanted by Southampton.
