QPR have confirmed they have discussed building a new stadium at Old Oak Common, near Wormwood Scrubs.
It follows an article in Wednesday’s Daily Mail about the club’s long-standing plans to transform the area.
A Rangers spokesman said: “We are looking at a number of potential options for a new stadium and believe that Old Oak could provide one possible solution.
“We have met with representatives of the Greater London Authority and the supporting local authorities to discuss whether a football stadium could be incorporated into any plan that comes forward for this site.”
West London Sport reported in April that QPR’s Malaysian owners were targeting money-spinning Docklands-style redevelopment of the area which would incorporate a new stadium and leisure complex.
The project largely hinges on Crossrail 2; the proposed rail link running through the area.
