QPR have completed the signing of Mauro Zarate on loan from West Ham.
The 27-year-old striker, who had medical last week, has moved to Loftus Road for the rest of the season after Rangers, who have been assessing other potential options in the last few days, decided to go ahead with the deal.
Zarate only joined West Ham in the summer from Argentine club Velez Sarsfield but has struggled to hold down a first-team place, making only five Premier League starts and scoring two goals.
He had a spell on loan at Birmingham City in 2008, scoring four goals in his 14 appearances, and has also played for Inter Milan and Lazio.
Rangers also plan to finalise the signing of Ryan Manning, 18, from Irish side Galway.
Manning, a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, can play up front or in midfield and has attracted interest from a number of English clubs.
