Ramsey: I wanted Warnock at QPR
Chris Ramsey has insisted he wanted to bring Neil Warnock back to QPR.
Former R’s boss Warnock has returned in an advisory capacity – a role he has coveted for some time.
Head coach Ramsey has been under fire from fans after a troubled start to the season but says he was keen to bring in an experienced man alongside him and that Warnock was his choice.
“If it wasn’t welcome I don’t think I’d be here now,” Ramsey said.
“It’s something the club wanted to do and I’ve brought him in. I chose him.
“It was something that was an important step at this stage. Hopefully he can help us.”
Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Birmingham left Ramsey’s side 12th in the Championship table.
They have conceded 22 league goals this season – more than any other team in the division.

Maybe for balance you could have added we have scored the most goals in the “section”?

I hope QPR can sort out the team.
It is clear the worst defense in the league will not get you into the play off places.
There is a bid gap between QPR and the top already.
I do not think Ramsey is good enough at the moment to progress QPR he is not getting the results.
If the team keeps losing the players will start to doubt each other if that is not already happening.
I have a great deal of respect for Neil Warnock who was one of our best managers.
There is only one manager isn’t there.
Let’s hope it all works out ok.
The squad looks good but the back line is weak no cohesion but everyone knew this from the beginning of the season the new faces are average.
Perhaps things will improve the weakness is the two full backs not keen on Perch general play poor and gives fouls away and will soon be sent off the other off the pace.
We do have other full backs I understand both injured at the moment.
Come on you R’s
