Harry Redknapp says he has been disappointed with QPR’s pre-season as they prepare for the start of the Premier League campaign.
Rangers played in Germany and Ireland before their final friendly, at home to Greek side PAOK, ended in 1-0 defeat.
“It hasn’t been great. We haven’t had good games. We’ve been to Ireland and the games weren’t particularly good,” said Redknapp.
“PAOK was probably the first time we’ve played on a decent pitch against a good team.”
Rangers are expected to add to their squad this week, with Redknapp keen to sign another midfielder and at least one striker.
The R’s boss said: “It’s obvious we need to bring in players. The squad is not big or strong enough.
“I know what we’re looking for and I know the players we want, it’s just a question of getting them.
“We’re still a little bit short and need to strengthen, there’s no doubt about that.
“We’re working hard on it though – we’re not silly and we know what we’ve got to do. It’ll be a busy week.”
