QPR’s Mackie makes his return to action
Jamie Mackie has made his return to action.
Mackie, who has not made a first-team appearance this season, was involved for Rangers’ development side in a 2-1 win against Watford.
West London Sport revealed last week that Mackie, 31, had returned to full training and been pencilled in for Monday afternoon’s match.
He played 65 minutes of the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where Arsenal youngster Tyrell Robinson featured for the home side.
Robinson, a 19-year-old wide-player, is on trial with QPR and scored the winning goal after Olamide Shodipo had equalised.
Ariel Borysiuk, Nasser El Khayati and keeper Matt Ingram also played.
It was Mackie’s first outing of the season. In July he suffered ankle ligament damage after returning to training following a long-term hamstring problem.
