QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin hopes to continue his comeback by playing at least an hour of an Under-21 match against Millwall on Friday.
Faurlin played 45 minutes of a game against Charlton this week and is set for another run-out for Marc Bircham’s side, which can include three outfield players over the age of 21.
If all goes well the Argentine could even make a first-team return in next week’s League Cup game against Walsall.
Faurlin told West London Sport: “We’re progressing. Friday is another game and I’d love to play 60 or 70 minutes this time.
“Then next week is the cup game, so we’ll need to see how well I react. If the knee is not stiff then there is no problem.
“I understand though that I have to be patient, not get frustrated and just keep working hard. I will hopefully play on Friday and then we’ll see.
“I’m in the final weeks [of a comeback] now and I need to keep focused. I know I’m nearly there.”
