Diakite likely to join Watford – Redknapp

Harry Redknapp believes a deal to take Samba Diakite to Watford on loan is likely to go through.

Diakite has been out of favour under the QPR boss and Watford are keen to take him to Vicarage Road for the rest of the season.

The two clubs have been in discussions over the Mali midfielder’s wages and by Friday morning seemed close to an agreement.

“That could happen, yes. We’ve been talking about it,” confirmed Redknapp, who wants to sign Mo Diame but doubts he will be able to land the West Ham midfielder.
