QPR’s defensive injury problems have worsened after skipper Nedum Onuoha was ruled out of Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough.
Onuoha has picked up a hamstring injury and his absence is a blow for Rangers, as Joel Lynch, Grant Hall, James Perch and Steven Caulker are also unavailable.
Lynch has returned to training following his own hamstring problem but is not yet ready to be considered for selection.
With manager Ian Holloway concerned by the shortage of defensive cover, Rangers have been considering making a signing.
A number of possible options have been discussed, including re-signing former R’s captain Clint Hill, who has been training with the club and this week played for their development side.
Hill, who turns 39 next month, is a free agent, having been without a club since leaving Glasgow Rangers after the end of last season.
Any new signing would need to be registered by noon on Friday to be eligible for the Middlesbrough game, and on Thursday night Rangers looked unlikely to add to the squad ahead of the trip north.
Meanwhile, QPR have signed 19-year-old midfielder Zenon Stylianides, who was recently released by Tottenham.

lets see now,WHY would we sign a player who was one of the most consistent, passionate players that the Rs have had in the last ten years??? probably because he is not a midfielder, afterall do we really need any defenders????????
Clint Hill turns 38 this year, not 39.
