QPR are assessing Ebere Eze after the youngster’s senior debut was cut short by an Achilles injury.
Eze, 18, was taken off in the 18th minute of the FA Cup tie against Blackburn at Loftus Road, where Rangers were beaten 2-1.
“He heard a pop and thought he’d done his Achilles,” said boss Ian Holloway.
“I had to try to make a decision to get him off and not risk him – he’s only 18.
“He’s very sore. He heard a pop and we don’t know what that was, but he’s got a very sore Achilles at the minute.
“It’s more than sore. He wanted to run around, but we did the right thing by bringing him off.
“He didn’t want to come off but I had to make a decision.”
Eze, signed during the summer after being released by Millwall, showed promise in the early stages.
“I like the talent he has and you could see it,” Holloway said.
