QPR’s Furlong makes loan move

QPR youngster Darnell Furlong has joined Northampton Town on a month’s loan.

The 19-year-old son of former R’s forward Paul Furlong has featured once for the first team this season, in the League Cup defeat at home to Carlisle.

He made his debut against Hull City last season and has made a total of four first-team appearances so far.

Furlong is one of a number of young Rangers players the club are keen to send out on loan in order for them to gain experience,
