QPR youngster Shodipo aiming to ‘hit pre-season hard’
Olamide Shodipo has told the Colchester Gazette he is determined to stake a strong claim for a QPR first-team place during pre-season.
Winger Shodipo, currently on loan at Colchester from the R’s, was hampered by injury problems during the first half of the season.
He ended last term on loan at Port Vale and has not played for QPR since December 2016.
But Shodipo believes a strong end to the campaign could set him up nicely for next season.
He said: “I want to start all of the remaining games for Colchester.
“I want to prove to the manager and to the club what I can do and keep my place in the team.
“At QPR, I’m planning to hit pre-season hard and get myself in the team there.
“A strong end to the season would be good here, to get my fitness and games up and just do well.”
