QPR to wear special white kit to mark 1967 anniversary
QPR will wear a limited-edition white kit against Cardiff City on Saturday to mark the 50th anniversary of the club’s 1967 League Cup final triumph.
Rangers wore white at Wembley the day they famously came back from 2-0 down against West Brom to win the trophy.
Then a Third Division side, they were given little chance against their top-flight opponents but pulled off a sensational victory.
Mark Lazarus, pictured below with QPR forward Jamie Mackie and goalkeeper Alex Smithies, scored the winning goal.
The 500 commemorative strips produced will go on sale on Saturday morning, with 50% of the profit made going towards The Forever R’s club – the former players’ association recent set up by Rangers.
“The kit is fabulous – lovely. I think the kit is very appropriate,” Lazarus said.

As we have no kit supplier, who makes the shirt?

er, because that worked out so well last time we had a special commemorative all-white kit – also against Cardiff in the League 1 Play Off Final… 😉
