Woeful QPR thrashed at home by Forest

QPR 0 Forest 4

QPR had Lee Wallace sent off and their defensive shortcomings exposed once again as their poor run continued with a dismal home defeat.

Rangers, without a clean sheet this season, switched off at a corner and Tobias Figueiredo headed in after 15 minutes.

Their task became even harder when Wallace was red-carded five minutes into the second half for pulling down Joe Lolley near the edge of the penalty area.

And three late goals sealed Forest’s win and Rangers’ fourth defeat in their past five matches.

Lewis Grabban finished with ease after being teed up by Sammy Ameobi, before Joao Carvalho cut in from the right and fired home.

A mistake by keeper Joe Lumley in injury time led to Alfa Semedo netting a fourth for Forest.

Lumley failed to hold and shot and Amoebi took advantage by squaring the ball for Semedo to complete the rout.

QPR: Lumley; Hall, Leistner, Wallace; Kane, Ball, Amos (Hugill 45), Chair (Scowen 53), Manning; Eze, Wells (Osayi-Samuel 83).
Subs not used: Barnes, Cameron, Pugh, Mlakar.

  • 0-4 at home echoes of last season are beginning to haunt us. Still its better than watching paint dry I guess.

  • Oh well, more of the same again - defence nowhere to be seen, Wells everywhere he shouldnt be. Hugill on the bench when we need to score more goals that we let in. Ticket refunds should be the norm these days.
