QPR assistant boss Kevin Bond said the club’s determination to sign at least one striker this month would not be diminished by their 3-1 win at Ipswich.
Having struggled in front of goal this season, Rangers netted three times in the second half at Portman Road, with Niko Kranjcar linking up nicely with Charlie Austin.
It was a timely boost for the Championship title chasers and manager Harry Redknapp is keen to keep the momentum going by bringing in a forward.
“I think Harry would like to get one if he can,” said Bond.
“Again today we played with [only] Charlie Austin up front. Andy Johnson is not quite right for 90 minutes. We could do with more options.
“We’ve found goals hard to come by, so to get three today was very pleasing for us. It was a big, big win.”
Rangers endured a difficult first half and lost Joey Barton to injury six minutes before the break.
But they responded in emphatic style, with second-half goals from Kranjcar, Gary O’Neil and Armand Traore giving them resounding win.
Bond admitted: “In the end it was very pleasing, but it certainly didn’t start that way – Ipswich started very brightly and had a couple of opportunities.
“I couldn’t put my finger on why it happened for us today and in fairness it didn’t look like happening early in the game.
“It was a tight game in the first half but we were much better in the second.”

What about traore?? Looked determined, played like he was enjoying himself , enthusiastic, celebrated like up for the cause, looked like hes matured, could be QPR's best new signing
It happened last Saturday because Rangers broke out of a trot and put some effort into the game - as simple as that. I saw a higher work rate with forwards chasing back and after lost causes that sometimes bear fruit. But most of all, the team closed down quicker and forced Ipswich to make errors - the third goal a good example. If Traore hadn't chased a lost cause it would have ended 2-1.
